Project Nature - A lifelong commitment to preserve the wild and pristine

I strongly consider creating awareness and educating people surrounding us about the local ecosystems as one of the most effective ways to conserve global ecosystem - Our Planet Earth. There is a rising need for us all not only to be aware of the local conservation efforts that are already happening but also to encourage such efforts and stay inspired for further action in conservation. As individuals, we can strongly contribute by educating ourselves and others around us about the role of even the most unpopular organisms in preserving the local biodiversity, thus towards conservation of the global ecosystem when seen through the global perspective. It is about treating Nature and all the living beings that come from her with the same respect that we treat ourselves and fellow humans.

Introduction on the panel

My introduction and the talk on the panel is a result of a conversation on conservation with my cousin - Dr. Amar Koushik and my friend - Aditya Vivek Sangle.

Highlighting the works of Snake Shyam, Saalumarada Thimmakka and Romulus Whitaker in our city, state and country, I briefly presented how we can leverage social media not only to voice out but to act upon local conservation efforts.
